Noama is a small UK-based business with a very tiny carbon footprint. We are on a mission to become the destination for art lovers with a conscience.
Without our beautiful planet, Noama would not exist, it's what inspires us. So, we use materials and processes that cause as little impact on the environment as possible.
We use Hahnemühle bamboo archival fine art paper for our giclée art prints. The bamboo plant that provide the cellulose require minimal maintenance, grow quickly and don’t need any pesticides. Their rapid growth means that more cellulose can be produced on the same cropland than with other raw materials, and they also require much less water, helping to save valuable resources and protect the environment.
The giclée printing process that we use for our modern prints is environmentally safe, since the inks are water-based and the paper is archival and acid-free. We also print to order, meaning we don't have any waste stock.
The gouache paints that we use in our original paintings are water-based and vegan.
Our packaging is mostly recyclable paper with the exception of mailing tube caps which are plastic but recyclable, and the protective packing that fragile frames are wrapped in – we're working on this. Our stickers and postcards included in our packages are printed on recycled paper.
All of our products are of a high quality, and providing they are taken care of, will last a long time. All we ask of you, as our customer, is to only purchase items from us that you truly love. That way, you're more likely to hold on to it forever and therefore reduce the need to buy a new product to replace it.
