NOAMA is the contemporary visual art studio of Donna Duo, based in Kent.

Donna Duo is a contemporary visual artist who paints structured compositions for unstructured emotions. The predictable boundaries create safety and a deliberate container for overwhelming feelings. She uses fragmented materials, like found papers, to represent the internal disorder – literally painting over the creases and cracks, or reordering them into something more beautiful and acceptable. While her layouts feel highly structured, the lines maintain a gentle, human variance and her choice of colour is nostalgic, selected from a time in her mind when it carried less weight. The balance often seen in her work is a desire for fairness, equality and harmony.

Donna’s professional background is in design and art direction. As she works towards distancing herself from an industry that uses creativity in the service of material things, she is painting more and using her disciplined eye for spatial balance and curated colour theory to create fine art.

She has artwork in corporate and private collections across the globe and has exhibited in Kent and London. Her work has been featured in numerous publications such as METRO, Cosmopolitan, and Marie Claire.
