One-off original gouache painting inspired by the evil eye amulet
The evil eye is a curse, believed to be cast by a malevolent glare, usually given to a person when one is unaware. The amulets, nazars, or lucky charms are used to ward off the evil eye. I have been inspired by them in Athens, but they are seen across the Mediterranean and Western Asia.
Original signed painting. Gouache on medium-weight art paper. 292 x 420 mm. Unframed.
